Intuitive Machines

Intuitive Machines, Inc. is an American aerospace company based in Houston, Texas, focused on lunar exploration and infrastructure services. Founded in 2013, the company aims to facilitate both commercial and government access to the Moon. It operates from the Lunar Operations Facility at Houston Spaceport and employs around 400 people. In February 2023, Intuitive Machines became publicly traded on Nasdaq under the ticker LUNR. The company offers a range of lunar capabilities, including the Nova-C class lunar landers, which are designed for surface access and payload delivery. Intuitive Machines also provides mission control and data services, along with infrastructure support for lunar operations. Notably, the company achieved a significant milestone in February 2024 with its IM-1 mission, marking the first U.S. commercial soft lunar landing since 1972. Intuitive Machines is actively involved in future developments, including plans for lunar communications satellites and a Lunar Terrain Vehicle for NASA's Artemis program.
